TWIN SPIRIT TRIBE RETREATS
Facilitated by Elias Patras and Gary Gruenewald

TWIN SPIRIT TRIBE RETREATS

How do we find our true inner voice to allow us to connect to others in a higher way? We connect through learning about ourselves. To do this we must come together as a community without judgment, and honor each other for who we are.

As gay men/women, we have within us the
Sacred Twin EnergiesStraight men and women also can recognize their own balance of sacred energy. When we honor both the male and female sides we can find balance.  This balance allows us to nurture ourselves and to give ourselves the love that we all truly desire.  When we connect with the love inside of us, we then are able to welcome the love of another that is in balance with ourselves.

Come share a weekend with others searching for a higher purpose. We will learn how to honor each other and ourselves in a sacred spiritual way using Earth Honoring Teachings of  indigenous peoples. Many tribes honored gay men and women because they were beautiful vessels for the male and female energies. In today's world, we believe that we all seek a balance of our "sacred self" to help honor, learn and respect one another for the gifts that we all have.

These weekend retreats are designed to open the mind, expand the heart and broaden the spirit.  As twin spirits we will come together to create a sacred community. The retreat weekends are an intimate non-sexual weekend and we ask that you refrain from drinking and recreational drugs. Please remember that we are also coming together as brothers. The friendships that you make and the time that is shared are sacred. The weekends are not intended to be a weekends of sexuality, but a weekend of Spirituality. When we clear and move through parts of ourselves that are blocked, it empowers us to become more connected to our sexuality in a spiritual way.
The retreats and workshops have shown us how much of a need there is for our community to connect in a higher way. We also welcome everyone to harmonize the energies between the gay and straight community.

Honoring the Inner Voice of the Twin Spirit

Friday, Oct. 17th - Sunday 19th, 2008

Do you truly honor who you are?  Do others?
Are old patterns making you feel stuck in your day to day life?

This weekend will focus on where we need realignment in ourselves on many levels. We will give permission to rediscover beauty of our Inner Voice that has been lost or forgotten.  We will share many experiential exercises based on teaching of indigenous tribes to let go of old patterns that no longer serve us.

Honoring the Inner Voice Weekend Retreat will give you permission to let go of old patterns that no longer serve you.  We will be coming together as a "tribe", a sacred community, with an open mind and open heart.  In this special weekend we will learn to honor from within, our true inner beauty, by allowing us to accept one another for who we are with no judgements.

The Inner Voice Series are as follows:

Honoring the Inner Voice of the Twin Spirit
Nurturing the Inner Voice of the Twin Spirit
Reclaiming the Inner Voice of the Twin Spirit

Honoring – This is the start of the unpeeling of the layers of self. It is this weekend that we start the acknowledgement of letting go of old patterns that no longer serve us.  The primary focus of this weekend is understanding the true meaning of self awareness, self love, and self discovery.

Nurturing - In this weekend we continue to unpeel the layers and recognize the masks that we wear in everyday life.  We will engage on several experiential exercises that allow us to take off the masks and continue to break down old patterns which allow us to nurture ourselves from a healthy loving place.

Reclaiming - This weekend's focus is about empowering ourselves by reclaiming the balance of our Twin Spirit, the masculine and feminine energies that we have naturally within us. We bring forth the knowledge and understanding of the two prior retreat weekends by building a meditation cloth, a mesa, to inspire, to connect, to love ourselves from a higher place deep within.

For those wishing to go further on their journey of self exploration; We offer a smaller group dynamic with our Aspects of Love - Loving the Inner You weekend retreat. This retreat weekend is limited to 20 participants and focuses on the ways that we have learned to love, the patterns from the past, letting go of negative ways that have been a validation for love, calling in love and the many levels of love that we have to give and receive.

The Honoring the Inner Voice is a suggested pre-requisite for any of the Inner Voice Series and the Aspect of Love weekend retreat.  Consideration will be given to those who have not gone on the first retreat weekend if they have had prior individual sessions with Elias and/or Gary or have taken our One Day Workshop series.

APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

This is a year long obligation to deepen your understanding with the mesa. Each weekend will focus on a different aspect of the mesa.  These aspects are touched upon during our Reclaiming the Inner Voice Weekend Retreat.

This Apprenticeship Program is a co-facilitated program with Spirit Dancer Crystals, LLC. Founder Jean Tindle.

Quotes from Past Attendees:

"The retreat allowed me to relate to others and myself in a way that I never knew was possible, with a freedom that was never before available and opened doors that I never knew existed. The creative, spiritual and communal energy that was present that weekend is something I'll always remember and cherish and the connections I've made through that energy continue to develop on a daily basis. I now see that I can approach everyone I come across in life from the heart and in doing so, I form better relationships, no matter how short-lived they be. This certainly wouldn't have happened had I not attended the retreat as I was always a person who looked for the eddies and currents of a social dynamic and tried to ride or manipulate them as best I could; often masterfully, but never gaining anything of substance in the process. Well, no longer. Let the head follow the heart- or just leave it behind all together." - Thomas K.

If you come to the retreat with an open mind and a closed heart, you will leave with a full mind and an open heart. The Spirit moves you if you let it.” - Barry F.
